Using word of mouth data from social media to identify asymmetric competition in food retailing

Competition between food retailers is often assumed to be asymmetrical, whereby one retailer may compete with another retailer but not vice versa. Little is known about how (a)symmetric competition among retailers currently is. One way to investigate this is to use word of mouth data. A mixed methods analysis of customer comments on social media confirms the existence of asymmetric competition among German food retailers, mainly between supermarkets and discounters. Overall, consumers compare competitors frequently on the basis of their assortments, the price-performance ratio as well as quality and freshness. The results have implications for competition policy and strategic management.     

政企分开政策驱动下国有森工企业转型路径研究

回顾了国家的林业政策,梳理了黑龙江国有森工企业的转型要素,分析了国有森工企业转型发展路径的影响因素。基于政企分开的政策因素与企业的发展需要,结合国有森工企业转型存在的现实问题,分别从企业转型能力、企业转型意愿和企业转型方向3个方面阐述政企分开政策对国有森工企业转型的驱动作用。在此基础上,提出在政企分开政策驱动下国有森工企业转型发展的实现路径,并从重新定位政府与市场关系、注重培育国有森工企业内部组织平台化转型路径和构建品牌转型路径3个方面进行国有森工企业转型发展的路径研究。     

Do capital flows drive credit growth and consumption in Central and Eastern Europe?

Domestic credit expansion in CEE economies, fuelled in part by foreign capital inflows, helped increase household welfare before the 2008 financial crisis caused a contraction across the region. How strong are the linkages between the current account, domestic credit and consumer spending? This study compiles a quarterly dataset of domestic credit as a share of GDP for 11 CEE European Union members and isolates structural breaks in the series’ growth rates that often align with the 2008 crisis. Vector autoregressive methods, particularly impulse response functions, show that increased current-account deficits lead to increased consumption in six of the 11 countries and increased credit growth in three, and that shocks to credit growth increase consumption in six countries. Capital inflows significantly increase consumption through domestic credit in Slovenia, while the Baltics show a large share of significant effects.     

Exchange rate returns and volatility: the role of time-varying rare disaster risks

This paper provides empirical evidence to the theoretical claim that rare disaster risks have predictability for exchange rate returns and volatility using a nonparametric quantile-based methodology. Using dollar-based exchange rates for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, the quantile-causality test shows that indeed rare disaster-risks affects both returns and volatility over the majority of their respective conditional distributions. In addition, these effects are much stronger when compared to those using the British pound, especially in terms of currency returns.

本文对中国企业战略管理四十年来的发展历程进行了系统的回顾、总结和展望。首先以关键事件为线索将中国企业战略管理的发展历程划分为萌芽和产生（1978—1991年）、发育和确立（1992—2001年）以及成长和国际化（2002年—）三个阶段，并从企业实践和学术研究与学科发展两个重要方面梳理了发展的脉络；其次，总结了中国企业战略管理的发展成就，同时结合企业面临的新环境和新形势着重反思和展望了“战略稳定和战略变革”“西方范式和中国范式”以及“实践导向和理论导向”三个企业实践、学术研究和学科发展上的双元问题。本文对于了解和理清中国企业战略管理的发展历史具有重要意义，并对企业战略管理的实践、研究和教育具有一定的启示作用。     

基于GIS和RS的蓄滞洪区和谐发展的技术路线

应用遥感与地理信息系统技术构建基于GIS模型的蓄滞洪区空间数据库,对蓄滞洪区内的基础地理数据进行存储、管理,并对空间数据进行可视化和空间分析等操作;运用RS技术对蓄滞洪区内的土地利用、生态环境变化等情况进行动态监测,建立蓄滞洪区发展指标体系;探求蓄滞洪区的和谐发展模式,为蓄滞洪区的可持续发展提供科学依据。
